We've verified that Tagaroo ooperates in 2.6 without problems - so we'll need to start some basic debugging.
The first place to start is to disable other plugins besides Tagaroo and then see if it works. If it does then start adding them back one by one to see if there is a conflict with a specific plugin.
Sometimes, for no apparent reason, Tagaroo horks my tags and photo suggestions - after saving a post, I go back to edit it and Tagaroo has "stolen" my tags (all tags are gone), the Tagaroo forward / back arrows have shifted to the bottom of its box area, neither photos / tags are suggested nor can they be added.
The only workaround I have figured out is to temporaily disable Tagaroo, go back to the post and add the tags back in natively. ...but no more photos can be added to that post and photos cant be added to new posts until tagaroo is reactivated.
Running WP 2.6 using Firefox Win XP

We're encountering this exact same problem too. The only solution seems to be to do disable tagaroo unfortunately. It's very strange as it seems to have been working fine and only very recently started to not work properly - maybe it has something to do with a post limit or something?

We're taking a look. To help us diagnose - is it basically just doing nothing? e.e. no suggestions are generated?
