I'd like to offer a second feature request. I really, really, really like the creative commons licensed pictures part of the plugin.

It would be great if I could search using subsets of tags (right now it's all tags or one tag).

It would also be really great if the resulting image had a little (cc) photo by USERNAME type attribution text attached to it.

The link back to the photo is a great start but having the attribution would make it even better.

Comments

The attribution is critical to have in the post. Zemanta is already doing that with their FireFox browser plugin. Their product seems to be more mature than this one. But this product has a better search engine for Flickr photos.

Thanks for the ideas and pointers. We're about to start work on V2 of tagaroo and we'll put these in the queue of potential enhancements.

Also - we would really like to hear your wishlists! No idea is too wild. What can we do to make this the best plugin in the world?

Regards,

Tom,

As I mentioned in my earlier post, Zemanta is probably your main competitor in this space. Their product is more mature than yours but I like your Flickr search engine. I also like your implementation better utilizing a Wordpress plugin as opposed to Zemanta's Firefox plugin approach.

They offer a feature that searches for related content and allows users to plug the related content into their blog posts with a click. It's very nice.

Your product also seems to be a little light on the logic for tagging. You're not suggesting as many appropriate tags as Zemanta does. Their tag suggestion logic seems to be more contextual rather than strictly based on the text in the blog post.

I want to second (third?) the suggestion for better tag suggestions. I just played with Zemanta, and for one of my posts, Zemanta gave me 8 good suggestions, while Tagaroo gave me only 1 that I rejected.
