I'm looking at using Calais for a sports website I'm working on. However, playing with the semantic web proxy, I found a NFL team not caught as an organization. The San Francisco 49ers.

This can be demonstrated by entering this url: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/niners/home.htm?csp=34 which is about the 49ers, and you can check the organizations returned. This is the only team I've caught so far.

Also, is this the right place to post these? Sometime soon I'll probably go through and verify all teams within the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL can be found as organizations in content.

ok, here's the list

NFL
San Francisco 49ers

MLB
Tampa Bay Rays
Washington Nationals

NBA
Philadelphia 76ers
Memphis Grizzlies
New Orleans Hornets
Oklahoma City Thunder
Utah Jazz

NHL
Chicago Blackhawks
Columbus Blue Jackets

Thanks. We'll sweep these up in one of our upcoming releases.

great thanks. It also appears the string "Chicago" isn't being caught as a location/city either. You can copy/past my list into Document Viewer to see the results.

Is there a timeline for when these may make into a release? I've been trying the 3.1 beta and still have this list not show up. This is kind of a brick wall for me to use Calais, as I'm working on a sports site. I've managed to come up with a decent list to parse out the portions of html from sites to get my targets, by stripping out navigation and menu chunks. This really is looking like the last thing I'd need to start pumping news into my site via Yahoo Boss.

We've found the problem that caused certain sports team occurrences to be blocked.
We've started working on a fix and you should expect the improvements to be deployed in the year-end release.

Thanks, I believe I can work around that. Just no news for a few teams being gathered while I test scripts and baseline overall performance. I suppose if worse comes to worse I can do a bandaid that will look for those teams in the content and add tags if no other tags with high enough relevance are found.
